The Tiny Mushroom Sign Shop Story
Humble Beginnings In 2014, a brother-and-sister duo, Matt and Kristina, set out to turn their creativity into something more. What started as a passion for design quickly became a small business, offering custom stickers, party invitations, business marketing materials, and more.
By 2015, Matt expanded their offerings with a vinyl cutting machine, diving into the world of sticker design. They loved creating, but now they needed a market. With nothing but their designs and a dream, they set out to local parks, sitting on benches and striking up conversations with anyone who showed interest in custom designs. Their home office worked for a while, but inviting strangers in quickly made them realize they needed a better solution.​
That’s when the Bremerton Farmer's Market became their stepping stone. Vending there was an incredible experience—they met local artists, vendors, and built lasting connections with businesses and customers alike. By mid-summer, Kristina suggested they take the next step: a local sign shop.
It didn’t take long—after searching just two locations, they found the perfect home for their business on Callow Avenue. With limited funds, they thrifted second-hand furniture and gathered essentials, pouring their hearts into building their dream. By August 2015, they proudly opened the doors to Tiny Mushroom Sign Shop.
Where are they now? Within two years, life took them on new adventures. Kristina moved to San Diego after meeting her husband, passing the torch to their mother, Catherine, who took over her role in the business. Kristina launched her own creative design company, and to this day, they continue to collaborate on projects.
And the journey doesn’t stop there! In 2022, Tiny Mushroom Sign Shop expanded into a larger space—right next door to their original shop. With more room to create, serve customers, and bring even more visions to life, they are beyond excited for this new chapter.
With gratitude for every opportunity, every client interaction, and every artistic expression, Tiny Mushroom Sign Shop remains a testament to humble beginnings and the power of creativity.
As they approach their 10th anniversary this August, they invite you to celebrate with them—because their journey wouldn’t be the same without the incredible community that made it all possible.
