National Farmers Market Week
August 6th to August 12th

National Farmers Market Week is an annual celebration that highlights the vital role farmers markets play in our nation’s food system. Across the country, many markets celebrate with fun events, programs, contests, activities, and more! At the Bremerton Community Farmers Market, Mayor Greg Wheeler will be opening the market on Thursday, August 10, with a proclamation announcing Farmers Market week in Bremerton!

On Thursday the 10th, come to the Market Info booth and ask for a trivia question about Washington State farming. Everyone who participates will win a “No Farms/No Food” bumper sticker (until supplies run out).

Kids can come tell us what their favorite fruit or vegetable is in order to get a temporary tattoo (until supplies run out).

Other activities include story time (with books all about farmers markets, farms, and produce), a table with printouts (farmers markets, farms, fruits, and veggies) to color for all ages and abilities, and a Farmers Market Selfie Booth.
