Meet George Stenberg, the creative eye behind George Stenberg Photography, capturing Kitsap’s beauty one image at a time. For George, photography has always been more than a hobby; it’s how he connects with the world. With his wife and business partner, Catherine, by his side, he’s been turning that passion into art for over 15 years.​

What started as a love for photography quickly grew into something bigger. Encouraged by friends and family who said, “It’s about time,” George realized that sharing his work was the natural next step. Now, his photography and prints bring joy, reflection, and a sense of community to all who see them.​
Helping others find joy
George says the best part of his work is the people especially those small, heartfelt moments when his images spark connection. One of his favorite memories is letting children choose a notecard from his display but only if they share why they picked it. Their sweet, thoughtful answers remind him why he loves what he does.​
As Kitsap continues to grow, George finds inspiration in being part of that change. “It’s not just about taking pictures,” he says, “it’s about creating something meaningful that helps people see the beauty around us.”

Do what you love and others will feel it

His advice for fellow creatives and small business owners? “Start with something you truly love, stay connected to your community, and make sure it stays fun. When you love what you do, others feel it.”
