The Spark Behind Lux Femineus
Sara’s journey into entrepreneurship wasn’t born out of convenience; it was born out of conviction. After working in the cosmetics industry as a manager and formulator, she found herself frustrated by the lack of transparency in the products she was helping create. Coupled with limited creative freedom, she knew there had to be a better way. “This was the only way I could guarantee myself those things—honesty in ingredients and the ability to create freely,” Sara explains.

With a strong foundation in business management, entrepreneurship, and cosmetic formulation, Sara stepped out on her own. Lux Femineus was her answer to the industry’s shortcomings: a brand that values transparency, artistry, and healthier alternatives for consumers.

For Sara, Lux Femineus is more than a side project; it’s her career and her calling. Supported by family, friends, and professional co-workers, she often hears the same refrain: “Why didn’t you do this sooner?”

Like many entrepreneurs, Sara quickly realized that running a business means wearing countless hats. From formulating products to managing social media, handling orders, and planning future growth, she’s done it all. Looking ahead, Sara envisions opening a brick-and-mortar store, creating a space where customers can immerse themselves in the Lux Femineus experience. “Finding the right place to lease and the right people to work with is a challenge,” she admits, “but it’s one I’m excited to take on.”

What fuels Sara most is her creativity. Some of her favorite moments are when new scent compositions take shape in ways that surprise even her. “The ones that give me the blueprint to mind-blowingly good perfume compositions, some I would never have thought of on my own, that’s what excites me,” she says with a smile.
It’s clear that for Sara, fragrance is more than chemistry; it’s art, emotion, and passion blended into something tangible.
