Music at the Market
This week's Music at the Market is The Rockin' RF's! The RF's are a two-man rock and roll band in the Jurassic tradition, playing songs you know and love, and their own original material. The show is lively and fun-with a little craziness thrown in. So bring your picnic blankets and camping chairs, get some dinner at one of our amazing vendors, and enjoy a some kickin' tunes!
Big shoutout to Bremerton Typewriter Company for sponsoring Music at the Market and keeping the rhythm going so strong for all of us!
Vendor Spotlight at the Market
Read about Ruff Seas Treats in this article, then visit their booth at our market this Thursday, August 21st, to pick up some naturally delicious and home-baked treats for your doggie companion!

Chef at the Market
This week, Thursday, August 21st, is Chef at the Market featuring Chef Robert Nash. Stop by at 5pm to witness this culinary master at work as he demonstrates how to make Gazpacho, and shares advice and samples.

Community Booths at the Market
Be sure and stop by one of the many community booths at the market this week:
Catholic Community Services of WA - Committed to serving individuals, children, families and communities struggling with poverty and the effects of intolerance and racism. CCS serves people in need, regardless of religious affiliation, race, or economic status.
Kitsap Harvest - Feeding families from front yards, food banks, farms, and...farmers markets. How can you help?
PAWS of Bremerton - Learn about cat adoptions, how to find a veterinarian, and lower price flea treatments.
WSU Master Gardeners - Volunteers who are actively engaged in teaching research-based gardening and environmental stewardship practices.

Looking for ways to get to our market on public transit? Our friends at Kitsap Transit put together this handy guide! Follow them to get their full guide for how to get to our neighboring farmers markets as well!

Park it at the Market
We know finding a spot to park for the market isn't always easy so wanted to share a place to park you might not know about and a few places to watch out for.
Our neighbors just a couple blocks away on Park street, Kitsap Community Resources (KCR), have very graciously allowed parking in their lot after 4:30pm. We greatly appreciate their generosity to us and our community where they do so much for so many!
CJ's Evergreen General Store is another fantastic advocate of our market and community, please remember that the 30-minute parking directly in front of the store is for their customers only.
And we kindly ask you to be considerate neighbors by parking only in designated areas. Note that the boating area has only four designated parking spots for market parking. Vehicles parked outside these four spots in the boating area may be ticketed by Parking Enforcement. Yikes!
Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you for another stellar market day!

Kitsap Harvest at the Market
The mission at Kitsap Harvest is to minimize produce waste and provide fresh, nutritious, and locally sourced fruits and vegetables directly to low-income housing, senior centers, recovery facilities, shelters, and soup kitchens within Kitsap County. The Grow-A-Row program bolsters this mission by inviting gardeners of all levels, from experts to enthusiasts, to cultivate and contribute surplus produce. Weekly donation stations are established throughout the county for collections, including at the Bremerton Community Farmers Market.
Engage in the fight against food insecurity and food waste by supporting the growth of Kitsap County's capacity for sustainable, community driven care. For additional details, visit Programs – Kitsap Harvest or inquire at the market's information booth.
REDUCE FOOD WASTE. DONATE FRESH PRODUCE.

Don't Forget Your Market Tokens
You know those market tokens you've been holding onto? Those tokens are MONEY! The $5 tokens are as good as cash, and all vendors accept them. The $1 tokens are exclusively for SNAP recipients and can be used for purchases typically made with an EBT card. If you have any SNAP Market Match coupons, don't leave them behind. We will honor expired ones, and they can be used with our produce farmers and produce reseller vendors. Bring those tokens to the market and shop!
